Katie Singleton, CMT:

JenHi, my name is Katie Singleton, I am a certified massage therapist and graduate of the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in Colorado. After first pursuing a career in business with my degree from the University of Colorado and working at a company in the outdoor industry, I decided to switch gears. Rather than focus on improving the equipment and apparel people use, I wanted to help them to improve and focus on their bodies.

In massage school, I received extensive training in a wide variety of modalities coupled with a strong education in anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology. I went on to further specialize in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Postpartum, and infant massage.

I recently moved to Alameda in the summer of 2009, and when I am not at Body Techniques you’ll often find me fly fishing, skiing, golfing, or enjoying the great outdoors with my Labrador-sidekick, Daisy.

Some of his specific responsibilities include: business development, advertising, accounting, payroll, web administration, creative, IT, client customer service, and sales. These are just a few of the many hats he wears. Austin also works directly with the medical oversight committee to develop the specific protocols that drive our service businesses. In 1994, he received his Massage Therapy Certificate during a summer break from school. This was the inspiration for the now successful Body Techniques.
